Morning Commute Chaos After Bus Crash on Philip Goldson Highway

There was a tense start to the morning commute today after a passenger bus was involved in a road traffic accident along the Philip Goldson Highway near the Los Lagos Community. The accident happened near mile twelve and a half, in the area of the Friends of Friends entrance and caused traffic delays for motorists traveling into the city during the busy morning rush. Videos circulating on social media showed the Sarteneja passenger bus pulled to the side of the highway with visible damage as passengers and bystanders gathered nearby in the rain. Police and emergency personnel responded to the scene, but up to news time authorities had not confirmed the cause of the accident or the extent of any injuries. Drivers are being advised to exercise caution as road construction continues.
