Deceptively Calm: Forecasters Warn Hurricane Threat Still Looms

Up to fourteen named storms could still form, with several expected to strengthen into hurricanes, and possibly major ones. Experts say El Niño may help keep storm numbers down, but warmer waters could quickly change the game. And officials are stressing one key point: it only takes one storm to make a serious impact. The National Met Service says it’s watching closely and coordinating with NEMO, but the real call tonight is to the public, update your plans, stay alert, and be ready for whatever this season brings.
