Abi Mai Facing Double Health Battle, Knee and Back Issues

A bad knee or a bad back? Prime Minister John Briceño says former Minister of Agriculture, Jose Mai, is suffering from both. Today he gave us an update on Mai condition. We also asked when Mai’s return is expected. Here is what he had to say.

“What has happened is that when he went to see the doctor the doctor said the first thing they need to do is the knee because he was walking side way. because if you anything with his back and he is still walking sideways then they have not done anything. So they have to fix his knee first and that is what they have done.”

 

Reporter

“You saw him walking sideways?”

 

Prime Minister John Briceño

“Well of course he use to walk sideways. Well the professionals can, unless you are a doctor you can talk. But the doctors are the ones who came up with that say you have to do the knees first. But the back, everybody is afraid of a surgery for the back.”

 

Paul Lopez

“So when can we expect his return to Cabinet?”

 

Prime Minister John Briceño  

“That is something we will decided in future.”

 

Six months have passed since Mai resigned from his ministerial post at the Ministry of Agriculture.
