The National Agriculture and Trade Show (NATS) 2026 attracted more than 37,800 visitors over four days, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, marking an increase from 2025, though still below the 41,000 recorded in 2024.

Held under the theme “Advancing Smart Agriculture,” the event expanded by 13% in vendors, booths, and concessions, highlighting both traditional farming and new technology.

A major feature was the Cabalgata, which grew from 34 riders in 2025 to 156 participants this year, alongside music and floats celebrating Belize’s livestock heritage.

Minister Rodwell Ferguson credited the success to strong collaboration among stakeholders and said the event reflected the sector’s growth and focus on sustainable agriculture amid climate challenges.

Organizers say the show continues to serve as a key platform for innovation, education, and public engagement in Belize’s agricultural industry.
