Armed Home Invasion in Ladyville Leaves Elderly Couple Shaken

Monday night in Ladyville turned into a nightmare for an elderly couple after armed men barged into their home and robbed them at gunpoint. Police say seventy‑three‑year‑old retired American Bobby Austin and his sixty‑three‑year‑old wife, Pamela, were sitting down to watch television just before nine o’clock when three men forced their way inside. One of the intruders pulled out a firearm, leaving the couple shaken and helpless as the men ransacked the house. The suspects made off with thousands of dollars in valuables, including a Rolex watch valued at twenty thousand Belize dollars, assorted jewelry, sets of house and vehicle keys, and an iPhone 16. Both victims suffered minor injuries during the ordeal. Officers rushed to the scene while the robbery was still unfolding, and police later recovered the stolen phone. However, the men responsible remain at large. Investigators are now intensifying their search, as neighbors grapple with concerns over safety following another brazen home invasion.
