Arrest Made in Valentine Palma’s Murder Case

Police have made an arrest in the murder of Valentine Palma, a case that puzzled Independence Village in the Stann Creek District last month. The killing happened sometime between March fourteenth and fifteenth, and tonight, investigators say they’ve charged twenty‑nine‑year‑old Zane Peter Pott, a Belizean laborer from Independence Village. Pott was formally arrested and charged with one count of murder on Wednesday, April first. The investigation continues as the community waits for justice in Palma’s death.
