Arrests Mount in Deadly Ladyville Shooting Spree

Police say the case is finally cracking open. Tonight, investigators have two more men in custody for the murder of Elroy Bainton, widening what officers describe as a fast‑moving probe into a deadly chain of events in Ladyville. Detectives linked Izaiah Nigel Beeks and Camryn Lozano to the January twenty-fifth shooting, bringing the number of accused to three after last week’s arrest of Caryl Paul Rodas. But authorities believe this wasn’t an isolated attack. They’re connecting Bainton’s killing to another fatal shooting that same night, violence they say erupted from an internal dispute tied to the drug trade. Assistant Superintendent Stacy Smith explains how new evidence pointed investigators straight to Beeks and Lozano, and why police now think these incidents were all part of the same dangerous fallout.

Beeks and Lozano appeared before Chief Magistrate Deborah Rogers today where they were both read a single charge of murder. Chief Magistrate Rogers informed them that since the charge is murder, no plea can be taken from them at the lower court, and they will be remanded to prison until their next court appearance.
