Balderamos-Mahler Appointed to Court of Appeal
Senior Counsel Melissa Balderamos-Mahler has taken on a temporary role at the Court of Appeal and it’s prompting discussion in the legal community. She’s the wife of Tourism Minister Anthony Mahler, and the vacancy on the appellate bench wasn’t advertised. The two-month stint runs from today, September first to October thirty-first, but the move has raised questions about potential conflicts of interest, given that she’s still a practicing attorney in the same jurisdiction.
