Belize and Guatemala Join Forces to Save Injured Man

Here’s a story that proves cooperation can cross borders. Today, Belizean and Guatemalan law enforcement teamed up to rescue a man who fell into a ravine along the western border. Amateur video shows officers from both countries, Belizean police and BDF alongside Guatemala’s national army, working shoulder to shoulder to carry the injured man to safety. He was rushed to Melchor Hospital for emergency care. The cause of the fall is still not known, but what’s clear is that even with a disputed border between them, these officers showed that teamwork wins when lives are on the line.
