Belize Calls for Action Over Attacks on Palestinian Communities
The Government of Belize has issued a strong statement condemning the escalating violence against Palestinian civilians in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
GOB expressed deep concern over the situation and warned that it continues to cause further attacks against Palestinian communities.
According to United Nations reports, 2026 has seen record levels of violence since monitoring began. Attacks, demolitions, and forced evictions have displaced thousands of Palestinians this year alone. Belize extends its condolences to all victims and takes a firm stance against the ongoing destruction of communities.
The government placed accountability directly on Israel, stating that international humanitarian law requires them to protect their civilians. Belize urged Israeli authorities to step in immediately and conduct investigations to bring perpetrators to justice.
Belize called on the international community to take action to protect civilian lives and uphold legal standards. Restating its support for a two-state solution, the government pledged to keep raising these concerns within the United Nations.
