Belize City Man Survives Late-Night Shooting
Police are investigating an attempted murder in Belize City that has left a 28-year-old man recovering in the hospital.
Around 10:32 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, officers responded to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they found Esau Louima, a Belize City resident, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigations revealed that about 10:15 p.m., Louima was standing on the veranda of his home when an unidentified man entered his yard and fired several shots at him before fleeing the scene.
Louima remains hospitalised in stable condition, while police continue their investigation into the incident.
