Belize City Restaurant Burglarised Overnight

Police are investigating a burglary at OM Indian Restaurant on Newton Barracks after thieves broke in late Friday night and stole multiple items.

The owner said he closed the restaurant at 9:30 p.m. and returned the next morning to find equipment, electronics, liquor, and cash missing. Reported stolen were a heat extractor fan, two televisions, assorted liquor, a tablet, a phone, and cash.

He suspects the intruders entered through the kitchen’s exhaust opening. The restaurant’s DVR system was also taken, leaving no footage to help identify the suspects.

Given the size and number of items stolen, the owner believes more than one person was involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact Belize City police.
