Belize City Woman Charged Following Major Drug Bust

Police have arrested and charged a Belize City woman following the discovery of over 70 pounds of cannabis during a raid at her home.

On Thursday, June 26, 2025, 24-year-old Rebecca Marlene Daniels, an unemployed resident of #4 4th Street in the Kings Park area, was formally charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.

Daniels’ arrest came after officers from Belize City’s Precincts 1 and 3 executed a search warrant at her residence, targeting illegal drugs and firearms. The operation led to the discovery of 30 parcels of suspected cannabis, weighing a total of 70.5 pounds.

According to police, the parcels appeared to contain three distinct strains of cannabis—Sour Diesel, Mango Kush, and Green Crack. The total street value of the seized drugs is estimated at over $100,000 Belize dollars.
