Belize Coast Guard Hosts Annual Christmas Luncheon
Today, the Belize Coast Guard hosted its annual Christmas luncheon. It’s a day when top law enforcement officials roll up their sleeves to serve lunch to Coast Guard members. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate their hard work and service to the country throughout the entire year. Prizes and awards were distributed to those in attendance. News Five was there and we spoke with Acting Commandant, Captain Gregory Soberanis.

“Today is a significant event for the Belize Coast Guard this one of out traditions where we honor the service of men and women to this nation this is a day where as senior leaders, we serve the organization of men and women and so by doing this it gives them a sense of value and significance knowing that they are appreciated for the hard work that they’ve done through out the year.”
