Belize Postal Service Launches New Stamp Series Celebrating National Identity
The Belize Postal Service has introduced its new “Belize Definitive Stamp Issue 2026: Celebrating Belize,” a collection of 11 stamps highlighting the country’s culture, traditions, achievements, and national milestones.
The new definitive stamp series will remain in circulation for the next five years and features designs centered on areas such as sports, pageantry, faith, art, and community celebrations.
Officials say the collection is intended to showcase Belize’s identity both locally and internationally, as the stamps are used on mail sent to destinations around the world.
At the launch ceremony, Minister of Public Utilities Michel Chebat said the new issue represents a reflection of the experiences and accomplishments of Belizeans.
“We celebrate much more than the release of 11 new postage stamps. We celebrate the people, traditions, milestones, achievements and shared experiences that define us as Belizeans,” Chebat said.
The new stamps will now become part of Belize’s postal system, serving as official postage while also preserving images and themes connected to the country’s heritage.
