Belize’s Derrick Chavarria Takes Gold in U23 Time Trial

The regional tournament is being hosted in Belize for the first time and features top athletes from nineteen Caribbean nations. Chavarria’s victory gives Team Belize a strong start as the event continues with the elite road race on Sunday.

The championship began on Friday with the official team presentation at the Belize Biltmore Plaza and has already drawn large crowds of cycling fans spectating the weekend activities.
