Bella Vista Mechanic Charged with Murder

Police have arrested forty-year-old Santiago Alberto Trigueros, a laborer and mechanic, for the murder of Franklin Arenivar de Alas. The incident happened Tuesday afternoon, when Franklin was riding his bicycle and got into a heated confrontation, reportedly over stolen tools and belongings tied to his father. During the altercation, Franklin was stabbed in the chest. His sixteen-year-old son, walking just behind him, heard his father’s final words before he collapsed. The suspect, known locally as “Chavo,” is a Salvadoran national who grew up in Belize. He was formally charged with murder on Thursday.
