BPBL Jaguar Cup Finals Begins on Friday

The Belize Premier Basketball League is hosting its final series showdown for the 2025 season. The Cayo Western Ballers and the San Pedro Tiger Sharks are set to face off in the BPBL Finals. The three-game series kicks off Friday night at the Belize City Civic Center, with a decisive Game Two scheduled for Saturday night at the same venue. We spoke with league Chief Executive Officer Gilbert Gordon about the finals.

“When we look at the Benny’s jaguar cup the entire series will play in Belize. It is not that we are giving the San Pedro Tiger Sharks home court advantage. We have already selected before the season started. We plan to have the Jaguar Cup played in all the districts that have a wooden court. Next year we will play in Griga. And then we move to PG. So we want to stimulate the economies in those areas and have the fans go down, descend in respect to joining those who also enjoy basketball in the specific districts.”
