BREAKING: Gas Explosion Reported in Orange Walk

Reports reaching News 5 are that an explosion happened this evening in San Jose Nuevo Palmar in the Orange Walk District.

We are told that the powerful explosion ripped through a residence around 4:00 p.m.

Unconfirmed report is that one person died.

One neighbour told News 5, “My whole house shake.” Police and fire officials were later seen at the residence of Dave Burgos. The area has been cordoned off.

The exact cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
