BREAKING: Water Taxi Crashes, Passengers Injured

Reports reaching News 5 indicate that a Caribbean Sprinter water taxi vessel, which left its port for its usual 10:30 a.m. route to Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye, has crashed at sea.

The boat reportedly struck an area known as “the cut off”. Several passengers are said to have suffered injuries.

Authorities have been alerted and are responding to the scene.

A relative of one passenger told News 5 that those on board are in shock following the incident.
