Bulridge: ‘No Company Equipment Involved in Mauricio Solis’ Death’

Bulridge Ltd. says none of its equipment or employees were involved in the accident that killed staff member Mauricio Solis. 

In an interview with News 5, Solis’ sister-in-law, Sylvia Lopez, said the family was still trying to establish exactly what happened but were informed that Solis was travelling in a company vehicle when machinery being transported became loose. 

News 5 had reached out to Bulridge on Monday for confirmation and an official comment.

The company clarified details of the incident in a press release issued today. According to Bulridge Ltd., 49-year-old Solis of San Ignacio Town was a passenger on a truck belonging to a private contractor, Bahadur Trucking & Backhoe Service, at the time of the fatal accident on September 3rd near the Guacamayo Bridge in Mountain Pine Ridge. 

“Solis was on duty at the time and was tasked with accompanying the private contractor to the designated worksite,” the company said. 

Bulridge denied involvement of its equipment, stating, “No equipment belonging to Bulridge Ltd. was involved in the accident, and no Bulridge employee was operating any equipment involved in the accident. The dump truck, trailer, and backhoe involved belong to Bahadur Trucking & Backhoe Service/Kurt Bahadur.”

The company said the police investigation is ongoing and that “like the family, Bulridge Ltd. is awaiting official information regarding the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.”
