Camalote Man Loses Leg In Motorcycle Crash
Police have now identified the motorcyclist involved in Wednesday’s frightening highway crash near Teakettle Village as twenty-nine-year-old Adrian Gerald Banner of Camalote Village. According to investigators, Banner was riding a black Lifan dirt bike westbound on the George Price Highway between miles fifty-two and fifty-three when he reportedly overtook three vehicles traveling in the same direction. Police say that while attempting to return to his lane approaching a curve, he lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into an iron railing on the right side of the road. The impact caused catastrophic injuries, including the severing of his right leg along with abrasions to his arms, chin and head. Police officers, BDF officers in the area and bystanders rushed to assist the injured rider before an ambulance transported him to the Western Regional Hospital. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
