Caribbean Sprinter Responds After Weekend Grounding
Caribbean Sprinter is speaking out tonight after one of its vessels ran aground over the weekend between Belize City and Caye Chapel. The company says heavy rain and poor visibility played a big role in the incident. Thankfully, all passengers and crew were accounted for, and no major injuries were reported. Medical teams were on site for anyone who needed care, one passenger was treated and released, another had a minor rib injury, and the captain received treatment for a small head injury. Caribbean Sprinter says all medical expenses were covered, and everyone is now recovering at home.
