CBU’s 56th Assembly Celebrates Caribbean Media Excellence in Barbados

Against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving media landscape, the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU) convenes its Fifty-sixth Annual General Assembly, at the Hilton Barbados Resort. This year’s gathering brings together broadcasters, media professionals, and policy influencers from across the region to reflect on the state of Caribbean media, celebrate excellence, and chart a course for the future. A highlight of the assembly is the Thirty-sixth CBU Media Awards Gala, which has drawn a record-breaking five hundred and fifty-one entries from thirty organizations across eleven countries and territories, underscoring the vibrancy and diversity of Caribbean storytelling. The event also features keynote addresses from regional leaders, including Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley, and will honor media stalwarts through the CBU Hall of Fame induction.
