Chester: No Sympathy for Cyber Bullies
We asked Chester Williams for his reaction to the outcome of the case today. He says he will have to look into it because he was not even called to testify but he has no sympathy for her.
Chester Williams, C.E.O., Transport
“I have no sympathy for persons who use social media to bully people. At the end of the day, while your social media is good. And we use it to share information. We cannot use it to bully people, not because you have a screen in front of you and you have a keyboard that you must use those to bully people. It cannot be, we must be responsible in how we use social media because at the end of the day, when you bully people wanna say things about people that is not true. It has significant effect on that individual. Yes, I’m a strong person. I’m not too concerned about what she said about me or other people say about me, but at the end of the day. I have a duty to make sure that when things are said about me that it is the truth and to hold people accountable for so, for spewing things about me. That is not true. That can certainly damage my reputation, my character as an individual.”
