Chester Williams Raises Conspiracy Questions in Dropped Case Against Mother
Former Commissioner of Police Chester Williams says he was never contacted by police or prosecutors before the cyberbullying case he brought against Nichole Gilda McDonald was dismissed.
The charge was struck out for want of prosecution on Friday. “I still haven’t been called. I still don’t know nothing,” Williams said on Monday.
McDonald had been accused in March of using a computer system to circulate a false statement intended to harm Williams. The allegation was tied to a comment she posted on Shyne Barrow’s Facebook page during discussions about his “narco state” accusations.
The case never proceeded because, according to McDonald, Williams did not appear at any of the 17 court dates. She said the ordeal devastated her life. “I lost everything, including my savings,” she said. She spent five nights in detention and later lost her job. She also claimed she was denied medication, food and water while in custody. “Five days is an injustice to me now,” she said.
Williams says he still doesn’t understand how the charge was dropped. “I am wondering if there is a conspiracy between her and the police. I don’t know,” he added.
