Civil Registry Services Restored at VSU Offices, Online Portal Remains Down

Civil Registry and Vital Statistics services are available again at all Vital Statistics Unit offices countrywide, but the online CRVS portal remains offline as security checks continue.

This follows last week’s detection of unauthorised access to the system.

The government says the public can visit the VSU main office in Belize City or any district office to access CRVS services and get help with their requests.

The online portal at crvs.gov.bz remains temporarily unavailable while technical teams complete their assessment of the system and finish security checks and validations. The department said it will provide further updates on the full restoration of online services once those assessments are satisfactorily completed.

The system was taken offline last week after unauthorised access was detected during routine maintenance. Officials had previously projected restoration for Monday, October 5th, pending completion of security checks.
