Bringing World Cup Energy Home

Football fever is sweeping across Belize as Coca-Cola, in partnership with Bowen & Bowen, rolls out a series of nationwide FIFA World Cup watch parties designed to bring the global tournament experience directly to local communities.

On today’s episode of Open Your Eyes, Coca-Cola brand coordinator Miguel Martinez and experiential marketing coordinator Tay Medina shared details on how the brand is activating its official FIFA World Cup partnership through fan experiences, promotions, and community events.

Martinez noted that with World Cup excitement reaching its peak—especially during the knockout stages—Coca-Cola is focusing on enhancing the viewing experience for fans who are unable to attend matches in person.

Watch Parties Across the Country

According to the team, the initiative is centered on making the World Cup more accessible and social, turning public spaces into interactive viewing hubs.

The first watch party was already held in Orange Walk Town, where strong turnout and community engagement set the tone for the remaining events. The next major viewing is scheduled for July 11 at Digi Park in Belize City, followed by the final watch party on July 19 at Falcon Field in San Ignacio, Cayo.

Each event will feature large LED screens, seating areas, and a family-friendly atmosphere designed to accommodate fans of all ages. Organizers are encouraging attendees to arrive early due to expected crowds and to bring portable seating where possible.

More Than Just Football

Beyond live match screenings, the events will include a range of interactive experiences such as games, branded merchandise giveaways, and food and beverage vendors coordinated in partnership with local stakeholders including city councils and media partners.

Activities such as inflatable football challenges and skill-based games are expected to add a participatory element to the watch parties, turning them into full entertainment zones rather than passive viewing spaces.

Free Coca-Cola merchandise will also be distributed at select activations, reinforcing the brand’s engagement with football culture in Belize.

Exclusive Promotions and Collectibles

As part of the campaign, Coca-Cola has also launched a limited-time consumer promotion featuring a special World Cup package: a case of Coca-Cola products bundled with a collectible inflatable football.

The promotion is available at participating supermarkets and retail outlets nationwide while supplies last, with distribution across more than 100 stores. Organizers confirmed that quantities are limited, positioning the item as a collector piece tied to World Cup memorabilia culture.

In addition, the campaign is reintroducing personalized label activations at live events, allowing fans to customize Coca-Cola bottles with their names, favorite teams, or player references—an interactive feature that has proven popular in previous activations.

A Legacy of Football Culture and Brand Connection

Representatives highlighted Coca-Cola’s long-standing association with global football, noting that collectibles and fan merchandise have been part of the brand’s World Cup identity for decades.

From glass collectibles in past tournaments to modern-day branded footballs and digital activations, the partnership continues to evolve while maintaining a strong emotional connection with fans.

For organizers, the goal is not only to promote the brand but to create shared public experiences that bring communities together around sport, celebration, and national engagement.

A Family-Focused Invitation

The upcoming events are open to the public free of charge, with organizers emphasizing a safe, family-friendly environment. Vendors will be on site offering food and beverages, and seating will be available, though attendees are encouraged to arrive early for the best viewing experience.

With anticipation building ahead of the knockout stages and finals, Coca-Cola’s watch party series is expected to draw large crowds across Belize.
