Dangriga Sub Treasury Burglarized Again; Third Time in Two Years
There’s growing concern in Dangriga tonight after yet another break-in at the Sub Treasury Building. Police say the burglary was discovered around eight o’clock this morning when staff arrived and found the office ransacked. A safe containing cash was stolen. The building on St. Vincent Street is once again a crime scene as investigators and forensic teams search for clues. This isn’t the first time. In fact, it’s the third. Back in March 2023, thieves made off with forty thousand dollars. Then in August last year, burglars cut the power before striking again. No arrests were ever made. Authorities are now under pressure to figure out how these criminals keep getting in and getting away. Police are appealing to anyone who saw suspicious activity overnight or early this morning to come forward.
