Back in June, a video showing government employees burning boxes of documents on private property sparked public outrage. People were demanding answers and fast. Why were these files being destroyed, and was it done by the book? The government responded, saying the documents were over a decade old and had already been verified by auditors. But that didn’t stop the Auditor-General from digging deeper, requesting more details about the incident. Today, we followed up with CEO Carlos Pol to get an update on where things stand.

“We received a correspondence from the Auditor-General. As we indicated on our release,  we did our internal investigation, and it was completed. We provided a response to the Auditor-General. She asked to clarify some information. We have sent it.  And we are now in the process of just ensuring that this is not repeated.”
