Easy Glen Case Delayed Again as Murder Accused Awaits File
Accused murderer Goldburn “Easy Glen” Adolphus, fifty-five, returned to the Belize City Magistrate’s Court for the third time today, only to have his case pushed back again. Adolphus, a former security guard who has been behind bars since his arrest last October, appeared unrepresented before a Senior Magistrate. The prosecutor told the court that the case file is still not ready, prompting another adjournment until Thursday, March 26th, 2026. He last appeared in court on November 27th, 2025, and spent the Christmas holidays on remand. He’s facing a single murder charge for the gruesome killing of forty-two-year-old school warden and mother of four, Shaniele Faber. Faber disappeared in early October 2025. Her mutilated remains were found stuffed inside a blue garbage drum at the corner of Amandala Drive and Cemetery Road after a bottle collector stumbled upon the body on October fourth. She was dressed in a black Champion blouse and jeans shorts and had multiple injuries to her head, arm, and leg. Police identified her through her brother and pronounced her dead at the KHMH A&E shortly before seven p.m. Her body was later taken to the National Forensic Laboratory morgue pending a post‑mortem. Investigators say intelligence led them to detain Adolphus. A secondary crime scene was later found inside the lower flat of a three‑story building at the George Price Highway and Central American Boulevard junction. Inside, police reported finding blood spatter, a blood‑stained machete, a trolley, and several swabs. Surveillance footage from the area also factored into the investigation, police said. When officers offered him a formal interview on October sixth, Adolphus refused. He was later charged with murder. He is scheduled to return to court on March 26th, 2026.
