Today, over a hundred human resource professionals gathered in Belize City for the second annual HR summit. This event allows participants to network, engage in panel discussions and gain strategic insights into the evolving landscape of human resources. This year’s summit is themed “Empowering HR Leaders to drive organizational success.” We stopped by earlier today for more details on the session.

“That’s exactly what today’s the morning session is about, is looking at the external forces that are affecting organizations, both from a local, regional, and global perspective. And so you heard him talk a lot about the generations in the workplace. You’ve heard them talk about the pandemic. You heard them talk about the economic situation or and the interdependence of economies. So we have you also heard him talk about Belize having the lowest unemployment rate, but what that means internally for talent and talent competition in regards to employees be having that choice to choose, where they wanna work and for how long they wanna work for you.”

“We were invited to participate in this event by the HR Management Professionals Association. I think it’s a wonderful event. I don’t think there’s enough focus placed on this topic, about managing people, managing the workforce. And I’m very glad that this event is actually happening. And as you can see, there were lots of insights into this’s panel discussion. And I think this is a conversation that needs to keep happening. It’s not just about the workers, it’s not just about the employer, it’s about a relationship. It goes back and forth. It goes both ways and how well your company is and business is how you manage your team. So it’s all about teamwork and of course, keeping in mind that you are providing a service or a product to clients and customers.”
