Explosion Leads to House Fire

A house on Faber’s Road in Belize City was damaged by fire over the weekend, leaving one man hospitalised with burn injuries.

Kenneth Flowers was inside the house when an explosion occurred as he attempted to light a stove. The blast sparked a fire that quickly spread.

Fire personnel responded and assisted Flores, who was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment.

ACP Hilberto Romero, Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, told reporters, “Information is that he was lighting a stove when there was an explosion, causing his injuries.”
