Extended-Magazine Glock Seized at Blackman Eddy

A routine police checkpoint at Blackman Eddy on Independence Day led to the discovery of a loaded firearm and the arrest of four Roaring Creek men. Police say officers recovered a Glock seventeen pistol fitted with an extended magazine containing twenty-two rounds of ammunition after the weapon was allegedly thrown from a vehicle approaching the checkpoint. “Police have formally arrested and jointly charged nineteen-year-old Christopher Moro, twenty-two-year-old Jaheim Morris, twnety-six-year-old Nelson Nunez, and thirty-one-year-old Edmund Pascasio, all of Roaring Creek Village, for the offense of kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license. The arresting officer reported that on twenty-first September, he was conducting a checkpoint at Blackman Eddy when a vehicle with four male occupants approached the checkpoint. The driver was asked to produce his driver’s license, at which time he indicated that he did not have any, and subsequently proceeded to show a digital one, which was expired. Whilst the officer was having a conversation with the driver, a firearm was observed being thrown from the vehicle, and as a consequence of this, all four male persons were taken to the location where the firearm was lan-landed, and when that firearm was inspected, it was observed to be a Glock seventeen pistol, which was fitted with an extended magazine that contained twenty-two live rounds of nine millimeter ammunition.”

 

All occupants of the vehicle were jointly charged for kept firearm without a gun license and kept ammunition without a gun license.
