Faith & Fades Brings a Fresh Cut—and a Fresh Perspective—on Wheels
Belize’s First Mobile Barbershop is Redefining the Grooming Experience
What started with a backpack and a bicycle has grown into one of Belize’s most unique small businesses. On today’s episode of Open Your Eyes, entrepreneur Daniel Coleman, founder of Faith & Fades, welcomed viewers aboard what he believes is Belize’s first fully mobile barbershop.
Operating out of a renovated school bus, Coleman has created a fully equipped grooming space complete with barber stations, running water, hair washing facilities, hot towel treatments, massage seating, and plans to add even more amenities in the future.
More than just a place to get a haircut, Faith & Fades was built around the idea of providing an experience that combines quality service with encouragement and meaningful conversation.
From Setbacks to Success
Coleman shared that his entrepreneurial journey wasn’t always smooth. Before launching the mobile barbershop, he operated from two different physical locations, both of which eventually closed. Determined not to give up, he began carrying his barbering equipment in a backpack and cycling to clients throughout Belize City.
Although the mobile service allowed him to continue working, he dreamed of offering customers something more complete. That dream became reality when he found a school bus within his budget and decided to transform it himself.
With the exception of the electrical work and exterior paint, Coleman completed nearly all of the renovations with his own hands—removing seats, rebuilding the interior, and designing every detail to create a comfortable, professional environment.
More Than Haircuts—A Ministry of Encouragement
The name Faith & Fades reflects the heart of Coleman’s mission. While clients come in for quality haircuts, they often leave with something much deeper.
Coleman explained that every customer is welcomed warmly before receiving personalized service, but conversations inside the shop often focus on encouragement, purpose, and faith. Drawing from his own life experiences, he shared that faith transformed his life after reaching one of his lowest points, inspiring him to use his business as a way to uplift other men.
He hopes every client leaves feeling not only refreshed physically but encouraged mentally and spiritually as well.
