Family Identifies Decomposed Body Found

Family has identified the decomposed body discovered earlier this morning in Belize City as 39-year-old Gilbert Conorquie of Belize City. According to reports, Conorquie was last seen on Sunday, October 26th.

The grim discovery was made after a resident reported a strong odour near the basketball court in the Caesar Ridge area. Officers responded and found the body lying face-up in an open lot across from Wilton Cumberbatch Field. The victim was dressed in a white undershirt and black sports shorts.

Early observations suggested Conorquie may have been shot.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Conorquie’s death remains ongoing.
