Family Questions Motive Behind Unitedville Double Murder

Police are investigating the latest double murder in Belize, involving victims 23-year-old Jerrington Ingram and Miguela Vanegas.

Officers were alerted of gunfire near a river in Unitedville Village where the two were found with fatal gunshot injuries on Saturday evening.

A relative of Vanegas took to social media to question what could have justified such a killing. She said, “I couldn’t sleep. What could she have done that was so terrible that deserved a death like that?”

The grieving family member added, “People feel they are God out here to be taking lives, mein. She was just a young, vibrant soul enjoying her life. Nobody truly knows her story. RIP Miguela.”
