Farmer Mauled to Death by Bush Hog in Blue Creek

Police in Orange Walk are investigating the death of a 57-year-old farmer who was fatally injured in a farming accident on Wednesday morning.

Around 8:10 a.m. on November 12th, officers were alerted to an incident in the Blue Creek Community. Investigations revealed that 57-year-old Peter Dyck was attempting to climb onto a moving bush hog being operated by a 15-year-old minor when he slipped and fell beneath the machine.

Dyck was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Police investigations into the tragic incident continue.
