Fatal Machete Clash in Dangriga Leaves One Man Dead

A violent machete altercation in the Dangriga Town has left one man dead and a family heartbroken just days before Christmas. According to initial police reports, on Friday, forty-one-year-old Linden Kelly was approached by two men in the Rivas Estate area where a fight ensued and sparked a deadly clash of machetes. Kelly suffered several injuries in the attack, including severe head trauma, swelling of the brain and significant internal bleeding. Police responded to the incident around six thirty-five p.m. on Daniel Street, where they found Kelly lying unconscious and bleeding from the head. He was subsequently transported to the Southern Regional Hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition and would later succumb to his injuries this morning. Police have since detained two individuals in connection with this incident and the investigation continues.
