Fire Destroys Two Homes in Seine Bight

Police are investigating a fire in Seine Bight Village, Stann Creek, that left two homes completely destroyed and another partially damaged on Monday afternoon.

Around 2:05 p.m., officers arrived on the main road in the village to find two wooden houses fully engulfed in flames and a third structure already partially burnt. One of the destroyed homes belonged to 30-year-old Talisha Tamara Castillo, a housekeeper, who lived there with her three daughters.

Fortunately, no one was inside at the time of the incident. The partially damaged house is owned by 53-year-old Customs Officer Therese Martinez, who reported losses estimated at $150,000 in property and belongings.

The value of the other two homes has not yet been determined, and no injuries were reported. Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
