First Motorcycle Accident of 2026 Leaves One Dead

Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident that claimed the life of 24-year-old motorcyclist Brian Miguel. The incident occurred Saturday night on the George Price Highway.

Police  responded at around 8:30 p.m. to an area between miles 40 and 41. At the scene, officers found Miguel, a Belizean farmer of St. Matthew’s Village, lying on the highway.

Initial investigations indicate that a Ford F-150 pickup truck, driven by 35-year-old William Antonio Aleman of Burrell Boom, collided with the motorcycle after the driver reportedly changed lanes.

Aleman has been detained pending charges.
