Five Men Robbed Him of His Cellphone

Police have detained five Belize City residents following an armed robbery that occurred early this morning on the Belchina Bridge.

According to police reports, shortly after midnight, authorities received information about a robbery in progress. Officers responded swiftly and intercepted a Chevy Equinox near Lindo’s Alley, where five men were found inside. All were detained and taken to the station for questioning.

Preliminary investigations reveal that 23-year-old Aaron Whyte was walking across the bridge when the SUV approached. The men allegedly exited the vehicle and robbed him of his cellphone at gunpoint.

During a search of the vehicle, police recovered a phone that Whyte later confirmed was his stolen property.
