The Statistical Institute of Belize reports that inflation in the first ten months of 2025 was 1.2% higher than the same period last year. This means the cost of goods and services purchased by households rose slightly.

The biggest increases were in food and non-alcoholic beverages, which went up 1.9%, and in housing, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels, which rose 2.4%. Notably, these two areas represent many of the basic necessities for Belizean households.

Butane gas prices saw an impressive 8.4% increase, or nearly ten dollars more per 100 pounds than last year.

Inflation varied across the country. San Pedro town recorded the highest increases, while Independence Village was reportedly the only area to see prices drop.
