Four Delegates Vie for Miss Earth Belize Crown

Miss Earth Belize 2026 is officially underway, with organizers today launching pageant week and introducing the four delegates who will compete for the national crown and the chance to represent Belize at the international Miss Earth competition. The delegates, Gwendolyn Galvez, Vashti Thompson, Heavenly Bradley, and Kendall Morgan also participated in a cleanup initiative today in Belize City and will continue until Friday at the Belmopan Market to encourage the reduction of single-use plastics and promote more sustainable choices among consumers. The week’s activities will highlight environmental awareness and community action as a part of the pageant’s mission of empowering young women to become advocates for sustainability.

“The historic journey to the crown began months ago as we searched for Miss Earth Belize 2026. A young woman who will not only represent the beauty and diversity of our nation, but will also serve as a passionate ambassador for environmental sustainability and positive change. Miss Earth is unlike any other pageant in Belize. It is an international platform that empowers women to use their voices and influence to protect our planet, inspire their communities, and champion meaningful environmental action. Belize is a country blessed with extraordinary natural beauty and diversity, and this mission resonates deeply with who we are as a people. We invite you to follow the delegates throughout this week, and to join us on Saturday, August eighth, at the Belize City Center, where we will crown one of these exceptional young women, and this woman, this woman will take us to an international stage. In 2021, I can proudly stand here and say that Belize held this international crown. We hope to bring back that crown to our country while these ambassadors advocate for our country on a national stage.”

 

The four delegates showcased a range of environmental advocacies, from promoting conservation as a way of life and community-led environmental protection to encouraging reuse and championing the preservation of the Belize River and the country’s natural heritage.
