Four-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling Into Well

A family visit to San Narciso Village in Corozal turned tragic on Thursday evening when a four-year-old boy fell into a well.

Rigel was visiting his grandparents in the village with his parents, Marieli Alcoser and Rodrigo Primiños, when the incident occurred.

Reports are that villagers and rescue teams worked for hours in a desperate attempt to save little Rigel.

His body was later recovered from the well.

According to relatives, Rigel would have turned five in January. He was the eldest of two children and leaves behind a three-year-old sister.

Family members say the boy’s body will be taken to Belize City for a post-mortem examination.
