Guilty of Murdering Wife and Brother!

A High Court judge has found Miguelito Encalada guilty of the 2023 double murder of his wife, Desiree Elizabeth Gonzalez, and his brother, George Vincent Rochester, in Ladyville.

Justice Candace Nanton heard evidence that the victims were fatally shot on April 20, 2023, at Encalada’s business establishment on Scissors Tail Street in the New Site area of Ladyville.

During the trial, Encalada denied responsibility, claiming armed men entered the establishment while he slept and carried out the killings. However, the prosecution presented ballistic evidence linking Encalada’s licensed 9mm firearm to fragments recovered at the crime scene.

Justice Nanton ordered several reports ahead of sentencing, including a psychiatric evaluation, social inquiry report, prison report, and victim impact statements. Sentencing is scheduled for July 20, 2026.

The case drew widespread public attention after a selfie photo from the crime scene was shared online of Encalada and his victims.
