Gun Misfires in Domestic Dispute; Suspect at Large
Police are on the hunt for a Belize City man following a frightening domestic incident. According to Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, Dwayne Tillett allegedly showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s home in the North Creek area and things quickly took a dangerous turn. Investigators say Tillett pulled out an unlicensed firearm and tried to shoot, but the gun jammed. He then fled the scene and, as of now, remains on the run. Police are also looking into whether Tillett is the same person who recently pointed a gun at an officer in Belize City. That’s still under investigation, but authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
