Gunman Ambushes Ladyville Man Walking Home

Police believe an ongoing rivalry may have triggered another burst of gun violence in Ladyville. Thirty-two-year-old Jareth Bainton was walking home along Perez Road around nine forty-five on Sunday night when a gunman approached and shot him several times. Bainton survived the attack and remains hospitalized in stable condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. Investigators have not disclosed the identity of the alleged shooter, but say they are actively pursuing one suspect.

“On Sunday, October fourth, around 9:45 p.m., police responded to a shooting at Perez Road in Ladyville. Upon their arrival, they learned that a male person had been shot and taken for treatment. He was identified as Jareth Bainton, thirty-two years old, of Ladyville. Information is that Bainton was walking home when he was approached by a person who fired several shots at him. He received several injuries. Bainton is presently at the KHMH in a stable condition. We are seeking one suspect in regards to this shooting.”
