Hattieville Council Hosts First Back-to-School Drive
The Hattieville Village Council held its first Back-to-School Supply Drive on Sunday. The council distributed 215 school bags filled with essential supplies to primary school students.
Over 50 children also received free haircuts and braiding services. Organisers said the services provided “fresh and appropriate styles” as students prepared for the new school year.
The ‘first of its kind in years’ initiative was led by Chairman Stephen Coleman and his council. “The village will no longer be seen as just a place to pass along the highway. Instead, Hattieville will be known as a safe and welcoming home for anyone seeking the peace of village life,” he noted.
