Here are the Carnival Kings and Queens 2025
The 34th Annual Carnival King and Queen Competition amped up the season’s colours, music, and creativity at the Belize City Civic Centre on Saturday night. Seven bands, four senior and three junior, showcased fourteen elaborate costumes that told stories of heritage, fantasy, and celebration.
“I must say this year all the bands, and I must give them their kudos, all the bands stepped up their game, and I must give them that big respect,” said the President of the Belize Carnival Association, Patrick Thompson. “And yes, the energy is as well another notch.”
Soca Moca’s King Balix and Mother Nature Creation’s Queen Kalafiri took the senior crowns, while Sunshine Masqueraders secured both junior titles with King Embercrest and Queen Zantara.
Designer Roy Briceno explained that Soca Moca’s queen costume marked “the celebration of our fifty years of what carnival is in Belize. It shows our strength, the richness and the foundation of the five ladies that have been the pillar of what carnival is.”
The Carnival Road March is set for 6 September.
